The Alchemyst is the first book of the series “The Secret of The Immortal Nickolas Flamel”. It is about the story of its main characters Josh and Sophie Newman, the twins, after they saw the magical things that happened to Nickolas Flamel’s bookshop. The main villain in the story is a immortal human whose name is Dee. Dee has been chasing Nickolas Flamel and Perenelle, Nickolas’s wife, for centuries for the The Book of Abraham the Mage, which has the secret of how the dark masters can return to rule the world and human will become nothing but slaves and food. Nickolas Flamel, Perenelle, and Dee all believe that Josh and Sophie are also the legendary twins that will stop (or possibly help) the dark masters mentioned in The Book of Abraham the Mage.
